-The accuracy of fleet fuel control depends on many factors. It is worth paying attention to the quality of the primary installation of the FLS. At this stage, errors are often associated with incorrect calculation of the sensor length, installation of the sensor element past the center of the tank, or lack of adaptation to the geometric features of the tank.

Thus, can we talk about the need to choose an experienced company with certified installers?
- Absolutely. In addition, it is worth noting the algorithms and approach to tank calibration. It is possible to minimize errors at this stage by choosing the latest models of DUT (for example, Phantom, Mirage) with built-in algorithms and auto-calibration or data adjustment functions.

It turns out that errors and errors are "summed up"?
- To the point! The 2-3% measurement errors declared by the end user are a statistical discrepancy, which consists of such indicators as:
-inaccuracy of calibration,
-instability of fuel parameters (summer and winter),
-error of the fuel-filling column,
-measurement error, etc.

So, nothing threatens the reputation of fuel level sensors?
- The error of the DUT Mielta Technology does not exceed 1%. This parameter characterizes the maximum discrepancy between the sensor readings and linear measurements and has never been exceeded even in artificially created difficult operating conditions.

What to do with the actual discrepancy? How to reduce the risk of errors?
-The task must be approached comprehensively:
1. The fuel must be of guaranteed quality. If a new manufacturer's fuel is used, deviations are possible.
2.Try to refuel at the same gas stations to eliminate the spread in the accuracy of the readings of gas stations.
3. Take into account the difference in the characteristics of seasonal fuel grades.
4. Monitor the technical condition of the installed equipment.
5. Perform timely technical inspection of fuel tanks and installed sensors.
